Tradition and Family
carpeum is a three-generation family project of olive oil production that has become our passion. We are always looking for simplicity and naturalness, making every effort to achieve what we believe in
Our plantation consists of different varieties of olive trees, some of which older than 200 years of age. The recovery of these old trees keeping their genetic heritage makes it possible to extract the olive essence from past centuries. Our oil comes from healthy olives, in their optimal degree of ripeness, and it is cold-pressed using mechanical procedures only, which ensure its optimal quality.
Ecology and Quality
Our production is environmentally-friendly, aiming at optimal quality while always taking into account our origin. We use organic cultivation methods, that is, we do not use any chemical fertilizers, herbicides or any other product that produces toxic waste. Samples from our crops are periodically controlled by the authorities and analyzed in official labs. Harvesting is carried out in several phases, in small consignments, which allows for a better control of quality levels throughout the process.
The guarantee of all our work processes is controlled and inspected by the Regulatory Board of Organic Agricultural Production of La Rioja (Consejo Regulador de la Producción Agraria Ecológica de La Rioja – CPAER), and certified with the corresponding guarantee label.
The quality of our product is endorsed by the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Olive from La Rioja. Certification body: Quality Selection by the Department of Agriculture, Farming and Environmental Affairs.
In 2025, we were awarded the Grand Mezquita Prize. The contest is scored on a 100-point scale, and our carpeum olive oil earned 97 points, making it one of only 10 oils to achieve this distinction.
In addition, our organic extra virgin olive oil carpeum, has received recognition from the Diputación de Córdoba.
In 2024, we received two medals at the Aceite de La Rioja awards: a Silver Medal in the Ripe Fruity category and a Bronze Medal in the Organic category. This highlights the quality of carpeum, which comes exclusively from our estate, where we preserve biodiversity in our olive trees and protect the natural environment.
In 2023, we also achieved one of our greatest accomplishments by receiving the Gold Medal at the Mezquita AOVE Awards in Córdoba, recognizing the excellence of carpeum in the cradle of olive oil.
In 2023, we were honored with the Silver Medal at the Aceite de La Rioja awards in the ripe oil category, highlighting its exceptional quality in its land of origin.
In 2022, carpeum received the Silver Medal at the Ecotrama Awards in Córdoba, highlighting its excellent quality in the production of organic olive oil.
In 2022, carpeum won the bronze medal at the Mezquita Awards in Córdoba, standing out for its exceptional creativity and quality in the industry.
The Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Oil of La Rioja has awarded carpeum the second prize for the best oil of La Rioja 2019 in the "Ecological" category, within the III edition of the Awards for the Best Oil of La Rioja that have been held in Logroño.
Our carpeum oil was awarded the ECOTRAMA SILVER MEDAL 2013 in the XII edition of the international tasting-contest of Extra Virgin Olive Oils from Organic Agriculture held in Córdoba.
